How big is the Polish blueberry harvest and when does it peak?

Poland is one of the largest blueberry producers in Europe, with a harvest season running from late June through September. The main commercial variety is the highbush blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum), harvested mechanically or by hand depending on the intended use. Polish blueberries are GlobalGAP-certified at source, well-suited to both fresh export and IQF processing, Typical FOB pricing available on request per season and volume.

What calibres, packing options and minimum quantities do you offer for blueberry export?

We supply fresh Polish blueberries in standard punnets (125 g, 250 g) for retail-ready packing, and in bulk trays or clamshells for wholesale and foodservice. For IQF blueberries, bulk 10 kg cartons or 25 kg bags are available. Calibres range from 12 mm upwards; jumbo fruit (16 mm+) is available seasonally at a premium. Minimum order for a reefer truck to Western Europe is typically 2–5 MT.

Can you supply blueberries year-round, and how is the cold chain managed?

Fresh Polish blueberries are seasonal (July–September). Outside this window, IQF frozen blueberries are available year-round from cold storage. All fresh shipments travel in temperature-controlled reefer vehicles at 0–2°C. Shelf life for fresh fruit is 14–21 days from harvest under optimal cold chain conditions. For markets outside Europe, IQF frozen blueberries hold quality through transit better than fresh.
